With the start of a new year, my accountant husband will begin his busiest season at the office. We function in a different rhythm during these winter months leading up to April 15th. Zach typically works long hours, six days a week. It is a time to prove himself to his employer, colleagues, and clients. It is my chance to support him and for us to encourage one another in our work. This season sets the tone for our year and in the past we have sometimes failed and sometimes succeeded.
I will be writing a few installments about busy season, about one per month. By reflecting and writing, we can choose to live more intentionally. Hopefully these posts will also provide some encouragement and resources for you when life takes a crazy-busy turn.
