In July, I left the library with an abundance of books. I had a few left to finish up in August before they had to be relinquished back into the system. One of them will become a Christmas gift for lots of people on my list. See if you can figure out which it will be.
This book surprised me at every turn – the length, the storyline, the ending. I’m always glad to read a classic, but I didn’t fall in love with this one.
Gorgeous writing. A captivating, genuine author. Real recipes that I want to create at home for people I love. Sold.
Chosen for a women’s discussion night at our church, I didn’t want to like this book based on the title alone. Maybe that’s why I ended up liking the author and premise so much. Thoroughly researched with a strong, insightful voice, this book made for an interesting conversation-starter with lovely women in community.
