Having my brother and sister-in-law in town has been such a treat. They stopped by our house to help us paint our picket fence on Friday night. And we feasted on pizza and margaritas after it got too dark to see the paint anymore. Attempting house projects with babies underfoot is no good, so we do all the work after bedtime!
On Saturday morning, we all woke up and with the lure of caramel apples and cider donuts, we drove to the outskirts of town. The orchard was beautiful and a little hazy with morning dew. We were a little chilly in our shorts and tees, since this was the first morning that fall weather decided to appear.
Evelyn refused to put down her bag of apples. She also refused to ride in the cute red wagons, so we let her burn all her energy walking up and down the long rows of trees. Zach and I had never picked apples before, but it was so fun. We are already planning a trip with Jordan + Kaytea to see the pumpkin patch later this fall.
…and the whole trip wrapped up with a snuggly boy asleep in my arms.
