Yesterday, I shared the pictures from the first floor of the house, and today it’s time for the upstairs! The house is a four square, which means there is a bedroom in each of the four corners, and right in the center of the house is a hall bathroom and the stairs.
Bedroom 1 // Will be a guest room and office
Hall Bathroom // This room has so many great features, but it is also the room that needs the most work before we move in. Once you start talking about updates, there is a ripple effect and you end up thinking you need to rip out everything. So, the plan is to make some short term fixes, live with it for awhile, and then see what makes the most sense to change.
Bedroom 2 // This room had been converted to a huge dressing room, complete with a trellis closet in the middle of the room.
Bedroom 3 // I am loving the white trim with the stained doors.
Bedroom 4 // This room is like a treehouse. It has seven windows!
The stairs are right across from the bathroom. The spindles and stair treads are painted an ebony color, so I’d like to paint those white to brighten it up. You can just see a peek of the pink half bath that is right under the stairs on the first floor.
We’ve bought gallons and gallons of white paint for the walls, and the first thing I did was take down all the curtains. It’s amazing how much brighter the house is already with the sunshine streaming in. This week is a big work week for us, and then Saturday the moving truck comes!
