My kids have really fine hair, which can end up getting super tangled while they sleep. Combing it had become a real battle with my daughter, because (rightly so) it hurt. Plus, she didn’t like having wet hair when I used water to comb it down. Even with water, it still looked fuzzy and slept-on. So in some desperation at Target, I made a $6 gamble on The Honest Company’s Conditioning Detangler.
After a month (actually I could have told you after 24 hours) it is AMAZING! Evelyn loves using her “hairspray,” which smells heavenly. And you can use it on wet and dry hair to calm knots and frizz. We spray it on – two or three pumps – when we are combing her hair. It definitely helps if you have a big tangle, but it is also preventative, so use it right after bath time or before they go to sleep to minimize morning bedhead.
Every now and then, I sneak a few sprays too, and although I don’t have tangles like my kids, it leaves my hair looking glossy and healthy. A peek at the ingredients shows why — argan oil, shea butter, jojoba, and quinoa proteins for the win.
I love that my daughter isn’t in pain anymore. The spray switched a part of our day that was a frustration into something fun and simple. The bottle is still mostly full, so that $6 goes a long way.
