So much has changed since the last update I wrote in April. Four days after I wrote that post, Zach was finishing up his busiest season at work and we were looking forward to a summer of rest and routine…
Then, I took a pregnancy test the night of April 15th.
We are so delighted to announce a new little Kubly baby is going to join our family. I’m about 20 weeks, so we will be finding out if it is a boy or girl in just a few days! About the same time we found out we were expecting, Zach began transitioning to a new job. Our “normal” summer has felt a little topsy-turvy. Thankfully, we have navigated as a team and found so much support and encouragement from our family and friends as we try to find our feet. God has been faithful to guide us when it felt like all our plans were turned upside down.
On Wednesday we are going to take the kids to my doctor appointment to go see our new little baby! Zach is getting adjusted in his new job and feeling excited about the opportunities he has now. I’m getting the kids back into their schedule at home, with a little potty training in the mix again. There’s so much to be thankful for.
18 weeks + kisses for the baby
p.s. I’ll be pulling out all our baby gear soon – onesies, swaddle blankets, tiny baby hats. That’s still hard to believe!
