If you want to simplify your daily decisions, uniform dressing is a great start. In summertime the maximum number of clothing items you want to wear equals two, so it’s been an easy formula. Over the past three months of 90 degree temps, I’ve gradually narrowed down to my ideal summer uniform.
Pons Avarcas, in taupe
(Note: These have worn in so nicely! The perks of leather shoes. They do leave a decently awkward tan line though, which I have been trying to get rid of since June. Ha. Be warned.)
(The Keowee Cottage. My favorite place.)
(My outfit for a 9 hour road trip.)
Here’s what I grab from my closet each morning:
I stocked up with Everlane’s cotton tanks (this, this and this) and Madewell’s muscle tanks for this summer and I’ve worn them every single day. If it’s a rare cool day, I sub out a boxy striped tee instead. I love the high slit.
I rotated between these three sandals all summer long.
1,2,3,4. That’s it! Based on the weather, I’ll still get to wear this uniform for another month before switching to layers for fall.
p.s. Favorite uniforms for spring. The last one is always a cool weather fave.
