Starting today, I’m wrapping up blogging and taking a break for the holidays. This has been my favorite year of working on this blog yet. I’m very grateful for each of you who read and comment and share this space with others. It’s been fun to meet several of you throughout the year and also to hear your stories along the way. I’m looking forward to what 2018 has in store.
Before we jump ahead though, I am craving a mental break, which is where I find the most creativity is born. I’m ready to soak in my daughter’s break from school, meet my new niece, and spend Christmas with my family. So, I’d love to reflect back on 2017 sharing a few of my favorite posts with you and wish each of you a very happy Christmas.
Behind the Blog // For the first time, I shared a peek behind the curtain. I answered the how and why questions I’m often asked about this mysterious occupation of blogging. In hindsight, writing this post really helped me to feel more confident about the way I work on the internet (by setting boundaries) and feeling comfortable sharing it with others.
Arm Balances + Self Care // Yoga is the way I play. A challenging class brings me so much joy. I talked about self-care in this post, but also shared 8 free, online videos for any yoga level – from kids, to newbies, to learning to do an arm balance like this one.
My Beauty Uniform // After a year of experimenting, I finally had a uniform of my own to share. It’s been so nice to settle into a routine and have products I enjoy using!
A Simple + Classic Master Bathroom // Over the summer, we added a master bath to our home, and it was a dream to design the space and watch it come to life. I’m still totally overjoyed with all of it.
16 Cold Weather Wardrobe Essentials // Already looking forward to a warm weather version of this post.
Stocking Stuffers for Him, Her and Kids // After creating these new lists, I’ve been so encouraged to hear how helpful they’ve been for your real-life shopping lists! I always want this blog to be a practical and thoughtful place for you to land, and I’m glad to share these type of posts with you.
Thank you again for visiting my blog, whether once or many times throughout the year. I wish each of you a happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you in 2018!
