In August we moved into our newly added master bathroom. It’s been super luxurious to have a space of our own. Once the construction had finished and we were on the brink of using the bathroom, I placed an order for some amber bottles to decant our soaps and shampoo into. We’re still using them and there’s something oddly satisfying about refilling the dispensers.
Maybe it seems a little over the top to decant your soap, but for a mere $12 purchase, the impact is pretty great. The bottles help streamline the space. So many soap and shampoo bottles are rife with text and blazing with colors. It’s nice to mute all that out.
While I’m not crafty or prone to DIY, this is something anyone can do. Here are a few options if you want to update your soap situation.
1 // Specialty Bottle Supply. I ordered the 16 oz Amber Plastic Bottle with Pump for our shower gel, our hand soap and for our kids’ shower gel in their bathroom. Each one is only 84 cents! Then Zach and I each use the 8 oz Amber Plastic Bottle with Pump, 70 cents each, for our face soaps (his + hers). For safety, I prefer the plastic bottles over glass. I ordered 8 bottles for around $12.
So, would you try it?
