Right now, I have three dresses in my closet, and I’m on the hunt for one or two more to add in to my rotation.
Dresses are an interesting category in a wardrobe, because they are a stand-alone outfit. When shopping for most clothes, I think about versatility and layering. I still like to stay within my usual color palette, but I can have a little more fun with dresses. When the pattern and cut work, I don’t usually need to layer much more than a denim jacket. I don’t rely on dresses for everyday looks most of the time, but I like to pull one out for a date night or family dinner or church.
Without further ado, here are 10 pretty dresses I’m eyeing for my closet, and many are marked down too.
Let’s Go Dress Shopping!
Soludos Poppy Dress / I think this is my dream fit and color! On sale too.
Madewell Flutter Sleeve Button Dress / The ginger floral pattern is gorgeous.
Anthropologie Arcadia Maxi Dress / A flowy summer dress on sale.
Madewell Silk Ruffle Edge Wrap Dress / I’d pair this feminine dress with white tennis shoes or pointed flats. The blue ditsy floral is dreamy.
Everlane Collarless Shirtdress / I’ve been wearing the Picnic dress all summer long, and this shape is really lovely and a great price.
Madewell Striped Ruffle-Strap Empire Dress / I’ve tried this on (tts) and it’s a perfect summer dress. On sale!
Reformation Tori Dress / A flattering a-line shape, smocked back, and 50% off.
H&M Creped Dress / A classic LBD that can be dressed up or down for under $40!
Christy-Dawn Midi Dress / Splurge-y but I really love this limited edition print and could see wearing it year after year.
Madewell Daylily Midi Dress / A best-seller for a good reason.
I’ve had this Madewell et Sezane dress for several years and I still love wearing it. I found it on Poshmark, and buying secondhand is another sustainable way to shop for a new dress. I like to search by brand, and sometimes you can find a sold out style or a steal from someone who is doing a closet edit. I paired it with my Clare V. Petite Alice bag and Everlane Editor Slingback for a dinner out with my family on our summer lake trip.
Which dress is your favorite? I’d love to hear!
